Part of my daily AM routine is to read some motivational information from different folks.  One of my favorites is Seth Godin.  He always shares a simple idea and tries to drive you to some sort of action.  While I’m not at his level (yet!), I ‘ve definitely learned a ton from him and look forward to reading his daily tidbit.
Today for the first time in the year that I’ve been following him, he offered his endorsement for a product.  In fact, it’s actually a simple, on-line course that he’s teaching.  There was NOT any price shown.  It didn’t matter.  I went to the link to check it out, saw the content was great, and added it to the cart WITHOUT looking at the price.  Now it turns out that the course is not expensive at all; however, that’s not the point that I’m trying to illustrate.
By providing me with incredible value over a long period of time, Seth’s locked me in as his customer.  The fact that he’s not selling me anything most of the time is irrelevant.  He’s got me.  And, in all likelihood, he’ll be pushing some sort of an upsell to me AFTER I finish the course, AFTER it delivers incredible value.
The best endorsement any of us can provide is to deliver incredible value to others.  That’s a good thought to start 2014…
With that in mind:
Does your work serve as your endorsement?

As always, thanks for the time.
